Its sad to have to report this having in count we are subscribed clients but I will do in order to contribute to this tool I personally consider usefull.

Copy / Paste (the essential developer’s tool) is not working properly. It means sometimes yes, sometimes not. It happens more usually with extense texts. Is not working neither shortcuts, neither tab (right click) option.

Copy / paste is working nice in the other applications and text processor installed in my computer.

It started to happen when upgraded from 5.1 to 5.5

I usually work with sun one 7, sql server, outlook, and firefox running at the time.

Any other PC information or Tech question, please tell me.

Please explain in detail *how* you upgrade… it’s possible you corrupted the install and that could explain the strange behavior.

Really i didn’t upgrade from 5.1 to 5.5.

I installed 5.5 in other folder and I have the 2 eclipse versions working and pointing to the same workspace.

Am I the first user reporting about this ?

Did you use the all-in-one installer to create a completely separate install of MyEclipse? Or did you try and link the two MyEclipse installs to the same base Eclipse install?

Also yes, it’s the first report I’ve seen in a long time of copy-paste problems (back in 3.8.x releases we had some issues with HTML files and JavaScript copy/paste, but those were fixed in 4.x)

I did use this exe:

MyEclipse_5.5.1GA_E3.2.2_FullStackInstaller.exe

I hope it answer your question.

I had many JSPs and HTML text editing (including copy/paste)problems using eclipse 5.1
reported in this eclipse bug tracker:

In that time i was not sure myeclipse had the problem responsability.

Do you hvae a small sample project you could send me that exhibits this problem then tell me exactly the steps to take to reproduce the issue? It might be something very specific about the pages you are working with that cause the copy-paste action to breka.
