    Hi,

I have lost my “MyEclipse” icon on my desktop (it’s blank now).

Here’s what I have for the start:

    Target:

    C:\eclipse\eclipse.exe -vm c:\j2sdk1.4.2_06\bin\javaw.exe -vmargs -Xmx512M -Dosgi.splashLocation=”C:\Program Files\MyEclipse\eclipse\MyEclipseSplash.bmp”

(this path wasn’t correct after the MyEclipse install)

    Start in:

    C:\Eclipse\

Can you please tell me where the “MyEclipse” icon file is I need to get things back to normal?

    Thanks.

If the path for MyEclipse’s splash screen is incorrect, then please change it to the correct path.

It is a file called “MyEclipseSplash.bmp”, located in the “eclipse” subdir of the <MyEclipse install directory”>, just as the shortcut above shows.

Overall I am confused by your question, if the path is wrong, change it to the right path… what am I missing?

    Hi,

Well, for one thing, the installation of MyEclipse doesn’t get the path to the splash screen right or the -vm parameter. At least based on the installs I’ve done.

Today, for the first time, I saw the MyEclipse splash screen while trying to fix the icon problem. I’ve never seen it on any MyEclipse install I’ve ever done (3 so far).

The *second* issue was that I wasn’t seeing the “MyEclipse” icon on the desktop shortcut. What confused me there was that the icon file is eclipse.ico not myeclipse.ico and it’s in the Eclipse subdirectory not in the MyEclipse subdirectory.

I noticed all this while trying to get rid of the test MyEclipse install I did to help you find the bug with the Javascript editor last week. <s>

    Hope this helps.
