I think this is the same bug I’m experiencing: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=490891

    Solus Linux x64 1.2.0.5
    openjdk version “1.8.0_101”
    OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_101-b13)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.101-b13, mixed mode)

    Dump is attached.

    sgraves,

Yes, it looks like the same bug. The eclipse bug seems to have been fixed in eclipse Neon, so we’d pick that up when we start to release our 2017 stream (which is based on Neon), within the next couple of months. The issue seems to happen when trying to switch to or from a dark theme and there might be some instability after doing so. Can you please start with a fresh workspace and avoid switching to or from a dark themw, until MyEclipse 2017 is available? If you still see some instability, please try to use GTK2, instead of GTK3 by adding the following 2 lines to your myeclipse.ini file, before the “-vm” line:

    --launcher.GTK_version
    2

Please let us know how you get on and apologies for the inconvenience.
