    I want to provide local businesses an iPhone app, android app and mobile website and have all three look alike. I want to upload the apps to their website where they can be downloaded by clients and customers without customers and clients having to go to Google play or Apple to download the app. Is it possible to create an iPhone app, android app and mobile website from one project? Also can the iPhone app and android app be created in a way that it does not need to be submitted to Google play or Apple?
    Thanks,
    Rp

    Yes, MobiOne apps are built on the hybrid app model which uses HTML5 as the primary programming model. If your app does nto make use of native features then yes it can be served as a mobile webapp. See the MobiOne Design Center’s Project menu > Publish as Mobile Web Application option to see a webapp version of your app.

    For Apple iOS apps the answer is no. Apple is very restrictive and iOS has mechanisms that prevent general ad hoc deployment of apps to any device. For Google apps you can distribute them from your own site. The MobiOne App Center provides an over-the-air installer that demonstrates the process and experience that you can deliver.

    Do the following procedures some this up?

    1.Create the project for the local business

    2.Save the project as a web app for android which can be uploaded to any web server and downloaded by a user to be installed on their android device

    3.Save the project as an Apple app which needs to go through your certification process and can only be uploaded to Apple where it can be downloaded and installed by the user

    4. Save the project as a mobile web site which can be used by any device using a web browser

    5. Is there anything else that I would need to know about any of the above or any additional steps or procedures?

    Thanks,

    @imworx,

    We think you summed up the strategy very well. Please be aware of:

    >4. Save the project as a mobile web site which can be used by any device using a web browser
    The web UI’s produced by mobione are optimized for webkit browsers. Thus your mileage may vary on non-webkit platforms.
