support-joyMemberhey zahidncst,
Thanks for providiing the update site and the document on how to integrate crystal reports. 🙂
Can you verify if you have done the following?
1. Click on Help -> Software Updates -> Add/Remove Software -> click on [Add]
2. Click on [Add Site]. Provide name and update site URL
3. Select crystal reports related software and click on [Next]
4. Click on [Launch]. This will prompt ME 7.0 to retrive CR plugin related information from update site. Make sure you have uninterrupted internet access
5. ME will prompt you to restart
6. Restart ME
7. CR is integrated with ME7.0There could be few reasons why you are getting this prompt –
1. you were behind a firewall and the dependencies couldn’t be loaded.
2. The update site was down at some point.
3. You don’t have uninterrupted internet connection.Attachments:

zahidncstMemberI think the crystal reports URL that you(support-joy) are using
is for old version.(But your instructions was very good)You are trying to install from OLD URL
http://www.businessobjects.com/products/dev_zone/eclipse
But i am downloading from :
http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreportsforeclipse/2_0/update_site/I think some other guy has the same issue.
https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/crystal-reports-2-0-integration-update-sites/&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=So the question is on how to upgrade the WTP or is it something else?

support-joyMemberAh, I see the error now. I will have the dev team look into this and get back to you.

Riyad KallaMemberUnfortunately it looks like Crystal Reports defines a *hard* requirement on version 1.0.2.v200809102023 of JSDT, and we actually ship version 1.0.2.zmyeclipse70020081206, a slightly newer version so according to Crystal Report’s manifest files that Pulse is trying to honor, it says that it is incompatible with that version of JSDT (but in reality, given that the two are SO close together, they would probably work).
What you could do is download Crystal Reports and try and drop it into the /dropins folder under your MyEclipse install folder (into plugins/ and features/ sub folders) and restart, it might pickup and just work instantly

CasadosRalphLMemberI am also having the same issue with 7 developers waiting to work on this as well. If you find a stable fix can you let me know.
*** I tried what you said to place it into the dropins folder and it appears to be working. Is there any functionality that would not work doing it this way? That you know of?
I am having issues with it this way in it allowing me to drap tables to the data tab of a report, it doesn’t allow it any ideas.

Good deal, I’m glad that worked. Unfortunately the fix is to get the Crystal Reports team to loosen their version restriction for the plugins that conflict with MyEclipse so they are compatible with our versions. If everything works by dropping it into /dropins, it sounds like this might be a safe solution for them — in the mean time, using /dropins is the right way to go.

If you mean dropping tables from the MyEclipse DB Explorer — my guess is that they don’t support our DB Explorer model and that’s why it doesn’t work. Again, that would be a requirement for their team to support.

CasadosRalphLMemberI recieved this link from SAP Tech Support that may help others with this issue: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/crystalreports-java

Dino FloresMemberI am the guy referred to in the issue:
For me the only working solution was to install CR from the OLD url
in My Eclipse BUT then at runtime include the newer CR libraries in your web project. The IDE will show the older CR GUI at design time, but at runtime the newer CR libraries will be used. I have not encountered and conflicts with at runtime using other librarie sthan at design time.
I would whish however that (based on the comments provided above) Crystal Reports makes their dependencies more flexible.
Dropping the new CR libraries in the $\Genuitec\Common\features and $\Genuitec\Common\plugins directories did not work for me .. they are not being loaded ?
Also not iwhen placing them n the dropins folder.I get an error similar to when I do an update through the web sudate site: Plus has automatically detected dropins added or removed from your configuration The following is a report of Pulse : Some discovered sofftware could not be provided.. AND THEN followed by the same dependency errors (ps: im am NOT using pulse)

Loyal WaterMemberCopying the plugins to Common/features and Common/plugins is invalid and you don’t need to do that. With the new p2-managed Eclipse installs from Eclipse 3.4 and beyond, simply dropping plugins into those dirs don’t automatically load them anymore, that is what /dropins is for.
Unfortunately it looks like Crystal Reports still uses locked down plugin requirements so using /dropins won’t even work because the platform cannot forcibly load the plugins.
