I’m not sure if this is entirely a ‘Darkest Dark Theme with DevStyle’ issue or not. I have also made a similar post to the DBeaver GitHub support page.

System information:

Operating system (distribution) and version: Windows 10 Enterprise 1909
DBeaver version: 7.1.0 Portable (Win64)
Additional extensions: DBeaver Office Support

Connection specification:

DB2
DB2 JCC Type 4
Do you use tunnels or proxies (SSH, SOCKS, etc)?: Yes

Describe the problem you’re observing:

By the time I install “Darkest Dark Theme” export functionality in DBeaver gets broken. Specifically, ‘Targets:’ and ‘Objects:’ list come up as empty.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install Darkest Dark Theme
2. Run a query
3. Right-click on the results grid, select ‘Export data…’
4. The lists ‘Targets:’ and ‘Objects:’ in the “Data Transfer” form are empty

Now:

1. Uninstall Darkest Dark Theme
2. Run a query
3. Right-click on the results grid, select ‘Export data…’
4. The lists ‘Targets:’ and ‘Objects:’ in the “Data Transfer” form have all available export types

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. Thank you for the detailed steps.

While we try to replicate the issue at our end, can you please let us know which Windows theme you have in your system?
We have reports of some oddities with using Windows Classic theme at OS level. Please try switching to a different theme and let us know if you are still seeing the reported issue.

If the issue persists, then please share a screenshot of the IDE showing the problem to help us get a visual along with the current Windows theme details.

It turned out that the issue is on the DBeaver side 😉 See #8113

A DBeaver fix is planned to be included in one of the upcoming DBeaver releases.
