Hi

I am using 6.0.1 GA version and trying to create a report from Oracle for a table.

1) I am not seeing any any stuff as mentioned in the tutorial like DataSources, Data Sets etc., as in Figure 5-1.

2) I am not also able to see the report design as mentioned in Figure 4-5.

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

Did you have MyEclipse reports setup along with MyEclipse ? If you go to Help > Software Update > Find and Install > Search for new feature to install, do you have MyEclipse reports showing up under the MyEclipse Discovery Site node.

I see Charting and Reporting under Europa Discovery Site. Not under My Eclipse Discovery.

After installing the updates, when I am truing to create a New Report Web Project, getting the following exception…

Creation of element failed
org/eclipse/wst/sse/ui/internal/reconsile/validator/ValidationHelper

Can you switch to a new workspace (File > Switch Workspace > Temp) and try creating a new Report Web Project. Does it work?

I guess since 6.0.1 is giving you issues, you should upgrade to 6.5.1. You can try setting MyEclipse to a brand new location using the All in One installer and then setup reports. I hope that solves your problem.
