I used to use JFace 221 plugin and it had an Oracle extensions jar that allowed to see all the sequences in the database, right-click to show explain plan and some other stuff. Don’t see any of that now. Any idea how I can retrieve that functionality?

Let me ask our DB Tools dev. This might be on his todo list.

yep, the oracle plugin does not work with the version of sqlexplorer we used as a baseline. For GA it will be even more broke since I am refactoring the original sqlexplorer “plugin” mechanism into true Eclipse extension points 🙂 (b) 🙂

for now, the oracle support is back-burnered since we are focussing on pure code gen stuff right now. But I can definitely see the need to re-add it at some later point in time.

“sqlexplorer plugin” mechanism is squirrel sql client mechanism (sqlexplorer team add nothing from jfacedbc; jfacedbc use squirrel) – I think that is great that extension are eclipse now – Can we add extension point for instance – add popup menu in object in dbexplorer ?

    regards
