eclipse 3.1M4, myeclipse 3.8.4, mac osx 10.3.8

when restarting eclipse, the following are lost:

database explorer driver preferences – i edit the oracle thin driver settings and they revert back to default

any new db browsers created in the database explorer are lost upon restart

Christian are you using the 3.8.4 Beta for 3.1M4? Also please check your log file <workspace dir>\.metadata\.log for exceptions that might shine some light on why the preferences aren’t being saved (exceptions?).

What I would suggest is to shut down MyEclipse, erase that file (.log) then start up MyEclipse, configure the driver, restart MyEclipse, see if the preferences are gone. If they are, copy-paste the contents of the .log file here for me.

ALSO you might want to try and restart Eclipse with the -clean command line argument to let it rebuild your plugin cache, that might help.

Yes, I am using 3.8.4 beta1 for 3.1M4.

The odd thing is that other myeclipse preferences *were* being saved. I didn’t see anything related in the .log files. I did a -clean and that seems to have solved the problem … fingers crossed.
