Does anybody understand what Eclipse wants to tell me with the following strange error message: “de cannot be resolved…”

It’s a bad error message for a legitimate problem. It’s diagnosed a bit better in this thread:

in the thread you are referring to the answer is as follows:
I answered my own question, one of the support classes did not have the methods that we necessary for the JSP. I re-synced with the classes and it worked. It might be nice to have a better error message.
Unfortunatley I am not exactly sure how to solve the problem.
Any hint?Basically, I don’t know. But I’ve asked a few others with expertise in this to weigh in here and see if they can help out.

There is another thread about the jsp:getProperty property=”*” problem. So if this is fixed this messages will vanish too. Makin these messages “nicer” wont help 😉
