    Hi,

Can someone tell me how to configure the port that is used for remote debugging when launching Tomcat (or any other app server) from MyEclipse?

I had a little trouble working this out and it was only until I tried adding my own JVM args to the start up (which I knew I shouldn’t have to do) to the app server config settings that I found out the port MyEclipse defaults (3922 – rather than 8000 which I was using when launching Tomcat from the command line and connecting to successfully)

Is there something obvious that I have missed?

    Thanks,

    -Kris

    Kris,

You really shouldn’t have to configure anything to debug Tomcat as that is handled by our application server connector. Information on setting it up is in the Application Server Quickstart, which is available in the included help in the application or on the website in the Documentation sectoin here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/images/tutorials/quickstarts/appservers/

If you’re trying to debug on a remote machine, then information on proper setup is in the Remote Debugging Quickstart here:
    http://myeclipseide.com/enterpriseworkbench/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.genuitec.myeclipse.doc/html/quickstarts/remotedebugging/index.html
