    Hello,

I am new to MyEclipse and let me begin by saying you guys have done a fantastic job with this add-on to an already great IDE.

Now my question…I have a remote WebSphere Application Server to which I deploy applications for testing. Is it possible to deploy/debug an application sitting in WAS5 on another machine via MyEclipse?

If so, how would I configure the AppServer in the preferences section?

Thanks and keep up the great work!

    Regards,

    Matt,

Yes and no. Yes you can, simply because Eclipse supports connecting to remote VM’s that were started with the proper debug settings. For information on this, you’ll have to consult the Eclipse debugger documentation. MyEclipse doesn’t add any features for this and can’t be configured to start a server on a remote machine. We’ve concentrated our efforts thus far maximizing capabilities for local debug cycles, since this is the most common use case.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

    Thanks for the support! 🙂
