    Hi hichnaj,

    We ran a series of tests using both the html5 audio component similar to your example code and the native cordova audio api. In both cases on fast wifi and lte networks initial load and start of playback was 20s & 30s respectively. This is 10X slower than similar tests performed on ios7 devices. We are planning to look into this a bit closer but on all android devices and os versions streaming using your audio src was very slow to initially load. I have opened a bug for more research. We will update you once we have isolated the root cause.

    No updates at this time other than what has already been shared. We will investigate this issue asap but here are several higher priority issues and development features that are ahead of this issue that the dev team must investigate.

    @BryanBudelon

    This example is kaput and not supported any longer. Using the html <audio> element has proven flakey across platforms for web and native use. See this note and reference to the audio player api:

    We are only supporting this api going forward. You are free to use any other mechanism you choose but we are limiting support to the audio player api.
