Since upgrading to Eclipse 3.1M7 and the accompanying MyEclipse, the three jars that SQL Server requires do not get deployed to Tomcat automatically, though they are definately there on the “Libraries” tab in Project > Properties. All the other jars associated with my project are deployed without a hitch.

Am I missing something? What can I do to correct this, besides manually installing them? I admit that this is not a terrible problem, but I can’t help but ask: Why does MyEclipse seem to have such an inordinately difficult time with anything that involves MS SQL Server?

The MS SQL Server JDBC drivers you mean?

they are definately there on the “Libraries” tab in Project > Properties

Double check your library deployment rules. You can set them per project, but let’s check the global settings: Window > Prefs > MyEclipse > J2EE PRoject > Web Project > “Deployment” tab, look down in the 2nd box, make sure you have checked the settings you want to be checked.

Now hit OK and open up your project properties > MyEclipse-WEb > Deployment, is “Use workbench default settings” checked for both of those? If not, either check it, or adjust the settings to what you want.

Why does MyEclipse seem to have such an inordinately difficult time with anything that involves MS SQL Server?

The only problem we are aware of is the JDBC Driver resolution using the driver registry in the DB Explorer… what other problems are you having?

I would also point out that the jdts driver is of higher quality, has less bugs and provides a much better out of box experience for SQL Server users deploying Java apps against it.
