This is really starting to get irritating. The designer is rendering itself every time I open a JSF page. I have to minimize the designer everytime I load the same page. Please tell me there is a way to disable this feature before I go nuts. I looked all through the preferences and could not find anything, and can’t seem to find anything on the forums.

    Jeff,
You can go to Window > Prefs > General > Editors > File Associations, find the extension you are trying to change (*.jsp?) and mark the “MyEclipse JSP Editor” as the default, instead of the Visual Designer.

That’s a code-only editor and should popup now for you as the default for JSP files.
