We are an insurance company that developed an iphone app for a select group of our agents to use for rating purposes. We do not have any macs and really prefer not to distribute this app via the app store. We have registered the company as an Apple developer. What are our other options for distributing this app?

In your case rather than develop with an individual iOS Developer membership I would consider applying for an Apple Enterprise Developer membership. The enterprise developer membership enables you to create corporate apps and distribute to your employees without using the app store.
