cusdxMemberI’m getting a weird problem where when I double click on a file the editor doesn’t open – either nothing happens or the “package explorer” realigns itself to be a page or so further down. jsp pages work fine, the problem is with .java and .xml files.
I only started getting this problem a couple of days ago – before then it was fine. I don’t remember doing anything significant at that point apart from reconfigure the properties on another project.
The work-around of right clicking the file and choosing the editor works OK, so this isn’t holding me up greatly, but will no doubt eventually get irritating.
Would be grateful for guidance.

support-shaliniMembercusdx,
Can you give some more information?
1. Can you copy paste your installation details here? You can get them from MyEclipse > Installation summary > Installation Details.
2. What are the default editors that you are using for .java and .xml files?
Also, can you switch to a new workspace and check if the issue persists?August 28, 2009 at 7:22 am #301865
cusdxMemberThought I replied but it obviously didn’t register, sorry.
1. installation details are below
2. How do I find out what the default editors myEclipse is using are?
3. I tried switching to an old workspace – it worked fine. Is there any way I can repair the one I’m using?*** Date:

Loyal WaterMemberYou can try using the -clean command to fix this issue.

cusdxMemberHi, I thought that fixed it but apparently not for my current project. Any other ideas or will I have to bite the bullet and start again with a new workspace?

Loyal WaterMembercusdx,
I’m afraid you will have to switch to a new workspace incase the problem still persists. Sorry for the inconvenience. -
