Hello,

I just downloaded MyEclipse 5.1.1 (Standalone) and saw that it’s size is 124MB.
But I also have 5.1.0 (Standalone) and it’s size is 217MB.

How come there’s soo much difference in the download size?

Thanks for noticing! 😉

The difference is due to the use of pack200 compression in the 5.1.1 installer that was not used in the 5.1.0 distribution. This allows the jars contained in the executable installer to be compressed to a much smaller size than when using zip compression alone.
