To begin, I’m brand new to both MyEclipse and this forum, so I’ll apologize up front if my question is covered elsewhere, but I sure couldn’t find it.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to select text and drag it somewhere else and/or to select text and alt-drag it to copy it to another location. You can do that in most editors, but many Eclipse editors/perspectives don’t offer that feature – at least not in any way that I’ve used it before. Does anyone know if this is something that can be done now or whether it’s on the development roadmap?

    Thanks.

It seems like I have seen a bug report for Eclipse that is tracking this very capabillity. So it is either being planned for the 3.2 series of Eclipse or later. Someone that knows more about this feel free to chime in.
