In MyEclise 2016 CI2 – MyEclipse Explorer view, why is there a duplication of the META-INF structure for an EAR project.. Is this by design? (See attached)

I am afraid the attachment is missing.
Are you referring to the lib and META-INF folders under Deployed Resources node in the MyEclipse Explorer view?
The lib and META-INF are not duplicated. The Deployed Resources node lists the resources that will be deployed at the root of your application/packaged in the final archive.If you are seeing a different issue, then please share the screenshot for further investigation.
