    Hi,

I’m running Eclipse 3m8 with MyEclipse 3.7.2. When I enable a new app server and try to start it I immediatly get an error “A configuration error occured during startup. Please verify the preference field with the prompt “Tomcat JDK Name”.

When I verify it it has the default JDK configured. I had to create a second JDK then attach that in order to get the app server to start.

    Regards

    Phil

    Phil,
The Application Server connectors require a JDK to run, not a JRE. By default what Eclipse finds/setups up for you under Window > Preferences > Java > Installed JREs, is the JRE that it is run with (most likely C:\Program Files\Java\<blah> for windows). If you chose this as your default initially under the Tomcat > JDK selection, then this is why you had to add a new JDK entry in order to get it to run.
