In Eclipse Preferences under MyEclipse > Editors, some file types have duplicate entries. For example, CSS has CSS Source, CSS Styles, and CSS Templates each listed twice. A change in one copy does not always change the other. How can I get rid of the copies?

    rjy,
Can you go to Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration and see if you have MyEclipse (possibly an old and new version) enabled twice? It sounds like something squirrely is going on, you shouldn’t see duplicates with a good install.

No, it’s only listed once. I’ve actually tried uninstalling and reinstalling to get rid of the problem, but it didn’t help. I did have the Eclipse Web Standard Tools plugin installed independently – could that cause the confusion?

Ahh yes that was my second question, WTP will also contribute these same preferences. MyEclipse 5.1 is built ontop of WTP 1.5.2 (latest stable release) so you can actually remove your version of WST and JST which will conflict with 5.1, but you’ll still be able to use the WTP functionality if you need to.
