I have just installed the software, and when I open a file (an xsl file) there is no color coding.

How do I make it color code and also, how do I make the cursor so that it will go past the end of the line?

    Thank you.

You can open the XSL file with the MyEclipse XML Editor (right click on your file, Open With > MyEclipse XML Editor). You can make this association permanent by going to Window > Preferences > Workbench > File Associatiions and setting it up there.

You can’t, there is no support for ‘virtual’ locations like that.

Hmm. It is so annoying to me to edit without “virtual locations” that its going to be a hard sell to get me to use Eclipse. I will try it to see if other features are big enough that I can do without virtual locations.

Problem: I do not have a MyEclipse XML Editor. How do I fix this?

I do not think *any* of the Editors in Eclipse support this, am I wrong? AFAIK neither does NetBeans or JBuilder… but I think IntelliJ does.

On a side note, can you explain why this feature is so important? I’ve seen it in editors for a long time now and never liked/used it, but I know that people who DO use it, love it for some reason… what is it about this feature that makes development so much nicer?

Can you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.
