    Hi guys,

I’m currently trying to deploy a very simple EJB module, to enable me to try out the debugging with Weblogic 8.
However, when I deploy the application using MyEclipse, it doesn’t seem to actually place any class files in the JAR file – all that goes in is the package structure (all empty folders) and the deployment descriptors in META-INF.

Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong? Does there need to be a set directory structure? Also, is there any documentation regarding deployment of EJB applications?

    Thanks,

    Jim

Check the output location, (e.g., classes or bin) of your EJB project and see if there are any *.class files there. If not then rebuild your project and see if files then show in the ouput location. Then undeploy and redeploy your EJB jar.

Ah right – I’ll have a look at that tomorrow. Is there any information about the automatic deployment process?
Does it pick up the class files from the build directory, the deployment descriptors from META-INF, JAR them up and deploy?

    Thanks

Basically, yes, for packaged deployment. For exploded deployment it skips the ‘jaring’ portion and mirrors the directory structure in an exploded fashion into the proper WebLogic deployment directory.
