Sorry if this is obvious. I’m just evaluating myEclipse for a team and running through the Struts tutorial When I try to ‘Manage Deployments’ and add the project I get a message:

Error creating deployment.. Navigate to Server Preference Pages and verify the field… Tomcat JDK name

But I can’t find it. I get the message for all app servers I’ve tried.

I checked the Preferences | MyEclipse | App Servers | tomcat 5 – but it’s only some paths (Home, Base, Temp).

I installed myEclipse onto my prior install – so I have server definitions for Lomboz and Tomcat as well. I checked these also, even though they were fine already.[/img]

    Stephen,
When you navigate to the Tomcat 5 tab, notice in the left pane you can expand it and see a “JDK” node under it? Click that, from here click “Add” and configure/add a new JDK (by default it tries to use the JRE that Eclipse fines, and that is the problem, you need to use a JDK, not a JRE).

    Hope that helps.

Should have noticed that. Thanks for the quick reply…
