    Hi All,

I downloaded the 7.5 Full Stack today and I’m getting the error “Could not find requested software [com.genuitec.pulse2.client.launcher.group] when it tries to install Pulse.

Basically I just run the installer and let it do its thing and it gives me the error.

    any ideas where to start?

    cheers
    Tristan

    Tristan,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you answer few questions for me to get to the root cause?
    1. Have you downloaded the all-in-one installer? Or using Eclipse 3.4.2 Classic you have added MyEclipse as a plugin? Or are you trying to install using the archived site?
    2. What is your OS?
    3. Can you check if you have pulse explorer? Look at ~\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe If yes, I would recommend you to open the pulse explorer manually. This will prompt you to either register/login/login anonymously. If you don’t have a login, you can login anonymously. You will be directed to the pulse explorer. Now click on “My Profiles”, check if it lists MyEclipse 7.5. If yes, click on MyEclipse 7.5. This will list you – base, shared and personal software. Right click on MyEclipse 7.5 and click on [Install and run]/[Re-install and run].
If you don’t have MyEclipse 7.5 listed under MyProfiles. Click/expand “Ready to Use Profiles”. Click on “Popular”. You will see MyEclipse 7.5, MyEclipse 7.5 Blue Edition under the catalog. Select MyEclipse 7.5 and click on the green button. Or right click on MyEclipse 7.5 and click on [run]. Pulse will install MyEclipse 7.5 and also automatically resolve any conflicting dependencies.

Let me know how this goes?

    Hi Joy.

Thanks for the reply, I did have a version of the Pulse Explorer that turned out to be corrupted. I simply deleted it and ran the full stack installer and it ran through without a drama.

Just having a few issues with downloading some 3rd party plugins but I’m sure that’s a whole other thread.

    Again thanks for your help!

Ah, that explains. Good to hear that you are all set.

Yes, if you have issues downloading 3rd party plugins, it would be better to open a new thread.

    Best.
