I’m beginner with Myclipse and Jboss and english too. 😕 and need help please.
I installed Jboss 3.2.5 and it run correctly from command line, then I try to configure it in Windows->Preferences->… JBOSS30. Here, in SDK configuration, I selected “j2re1.4.2_05” from the combo box , In fact it’s only one options to select. This is my JAVA DSK home directory.
ah, In <Optionals java VM arguments> I didn’t write nothing.The problem is when i try to start or stop Jboss from IDE, it said:
A configuration error occurred during startup. Please, verify the preference field with the prompt: jBoss JDK name. ❓
Can anybody help me ?
yes, you have teh JRE, java Runtime Environrment, What what you need is the JDK, Java Developemnt Kit. Go to java.sun.com and grab the SDK, click here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html and get the “J2SE v 1.4.2_05 SDK includes the JVM technology.
download and install. Then go back to your JBOSS3 preference under Application Servers, then go to JDK and “Add”. Then add the j2sdk1.4.2_05 (browse to where you installed teh SDK) then apply and ok.
now start Jboss.
