After installation of MyElcipse 10.0 I am prompted to run MyElsipse 10. Upon execution I receive the attached error. (See attached file) Does this mean my organization has a firewall in place that prevents MyEclipse from verifying the software signature?

    ip 167.10.20.176
    workstation name: HQDSB-7FM2GG1.auth.caldoj.net

    DOJ_CA,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. This message means that either the installer file is corrupt or incomplete. Please re-install. I would recommend you re-install using pulse, as it is much faster and shall download only the remaining missing software. Here are the steps –
    1. Open Pulse (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
    2. Login to pulse, you could also login anonymously
    3. Select “Eclipse – Indigo” from top left hand corner dropdown
    4. Select “MyEclipse 10” from “My Profiles”, right click on the same and click on [re-install and run]
    5. In case it is not listed, expand and click on – Ready to use Profiles > Popular, from the right hand pane, right click on [run]
    6. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps

Let me know how this works for you.

Adding to the above, you could also try to repair your MyEclipse profile or install a new MyEclipse profile. Here is what you need to do, re-run your MyEclipse 10 installer. You would be given 4 different options – Run MyEclipse, Repair MyEclipse, Install Another, Un-install MyEclipse. Either you could choose Repair MyEclipse or Install Another and follow the wizard.

The methods you suggested did not work. I still get the same error.I did an mD5 check on the installer, and it is correct. What does this error actually mean? What is this installer trying to do?

    DOJ_CA,

Sorry to hear that this is still an issue. Could you confirm which steps did you try?
Did you also try to re-install using pulse? If yes, could you do the following – Choose the MyEclipse 10 profile from “My Profiles”. Under “About this Profile” section, there is an icon to upload support bundle. Please click the same, and include above link to help us investigate this issue. I have escalated your issue to dev team members. They would get back to you on this shortly.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    DOJ_CA,

With an installer downloaded from our website, or when using Pulse to install, you should not get this error, as it indicates a corrupted installer or one that has been tampered with. It’s just possible (though highly unlikely) that the MD5 check could pass, even though the installer has been corrupted. I suggest you uninstall MyEclipse, and check that all installation directories have been removed (this FAQ may help). Then download the off-line or custom installer and re-install using that installer (or install using Pulse as mentioned by Joy).

Please let us know if this works for you. If not, please detail the steps that you’ve tried and the file name of the installer (if not installing via Pulse).

Here is what I have done so far:
    Method 1
-uninstall the MyE 10 using uninstaller
-delete any other files and our folders manually
    -restart pc
-download offline installer using a different pc
-transfer installer from other pc to my pc and install MyE 10
    -restart pc
I still get the same error

    Method 2
–uninstall the MyE 10 using uninstaller
-delete any other files and our folders manually
    -restart pc
    -install from pulse explorer
    -install support bungle
    -restart pc
    -launch MyE 10 from pulse
    Still get same error

As a note I did install MyE 10 on co-worker’s pc using offline installer and it worked without problems.

I finally got it to work. I had a 8.5 profile sitting in the program files directory. Once I deleted it, and re-installed 10 it worked.

    DOJ_CA,

That’s great; I’m glad you got it working.

As this could provide useful information for others who hit the same problem, could I ask you to confirm a few things:

    1. What operating system and release you are using
    2. How the MyEclipse 8.5 release was installed
    3. Where you installed MyEclipse release 10 (which directory)

    Your assistance is appreciated.
