    Hi,

I installed MyEclipse a few days ago and first everything worked fine. Then I changed the eclipse settings Java/Installed JREs, because I want eclipse to use a new JRE (jdk1.5) as default. I also removed the formerly used JRE because I do not want to use it anymore. Now, when starting JBoss from MyEclipse I get the following error:

A configuration error occurred during startup. Please verify the preference filed with the prompt: JBoss JDK name

So I added the removed JRE again to the JRE settings and starting JBoss succeeds again. But it always uses the old JRE for startup. How can I tell MyEclipse to use another JRE or better to use default JRE from preferences?
By the way, I had installed JBoss IDE before installing MyEclipse. For JBoss IDE everything works as I expect it, which means when starting JBoss from JBoss IDE the default JRE is used.

Do you have a solution for my problem?

    Regards, Sandra

    Sandra,
First, you need to add a JDK, not a JRE to that list. Then you need to navigate to Window > Prefs > MyEclipse > Application Servers > JBoss (3 or 4, depends which one you are using) > JDK, then select it from the drop down and hit OK.
