When trying to upgrade a feature (I just wanted to upgrade de javahl svn client so that it’s compatible with current working copy svn format), I got this:

This profile can not be resolved because required software could not be located.
Could not locate installable unit: org.eclipse.team.svn.feature.group 0.0.0
    Site checked: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/europa/

    (…..)

My question: That PULSE system really messed me up. How am I supposed to transfer my myeclipse to another machine? Components seem to be all over my harddrive now. And it’s messy and confusing. What’s the best way to copy my installation to another machine if I wanted to?

    Thanks,
    Dario Andrade

Your profiles are stored against your Pulse account. To get those installed on other machines all you have to do is install Pulse on those machines, login and select the profile and hit “Run”, that will cause Pulse to reprovision that software completely on the new machine.

Well, thanks. I think I got the idea. The concept seems fine. The problem is that it gives me error when trying to install the subclipse plugin (the error I mentioned in the previous post). Besides, forcing several people (in my team) to download hundreds of megs for each machine is very inconvenient for the moment. Maybe sometime in the future!

Anyway I solved the problem. I uninstalled the pulse edition and installed the new 7.0M1.

    Thanks again,
    Dario
