Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me with my error: every time I run the Design Center I get an error. I’ve uninstalled the program and re-installed it multiple times with no luck. Maybe one of you guys can help me out?

Version: 2.3.2 (Hotfix 1)

–System Info–
Windows 7
Latest Java and JDK to Date
4GB RAM.

I couldn’t upload the full crash log as it was bigger than 500kb, so I deleted half of it.

Thanks for sharing the log file. The error message in it does not indicate a specific problem. I will discuss with our dev team when they are back online. A few questions:

1) did you modify the mobione.ini file?
For example you mentioned that you have the latest JVM installed. Only the mobione jvm should be used.

2a) what antivirus software are you running?
2b) Has it updated recently?

3) has mobione installed and operated correctly prior to using 2.3.2 (Hotfix 1)?

Ok thanks for that!

1) I only modified the Xmx Command Parameter increasing it to 1Gb/1024 to see if that would make any difference. Other than that I haven’t touched it.

2) I’m using Microsoft Security Essentials, and I last updated the Definitions on the 19/June

3) I’m new to the software and this is my first download, after being recommended this software by friends.

@Syndite,

Please try the following:

1) run the mobione uninstaller, verify that all files have been deleted
2) delete the <user-home>\.mobione directory
3) download the latest MobiOne installer <http://www.genuitec.com/mobile/download.html>
4) run the installer and watch for antivirus complaints. Ensure that no part of the mobione installation has been quarantined
5) do not modify the mobione.ini file. MobiOne should start up without issue
6) Launch the MobOne Design Center
– if it does not start verify that no mobione processes are running using Task Manager
7) Launch MobiOne Test Center as an alternative
hopefully it is running by this point

Okay I did everything as you listed, completely uninstalling, deleting the .mobione in the user directory and then fixing my registry.

I then installed it again using the latest installer, the install ran smooth but again It launched the design finished the small splash screen then threw the error at me. The test center seems to be working fine though, but when I press the button to go to the design center it doesn’t work.

On a positive note the error log has now become much smaller, but it throws the same error at the beginning. Here’s the updated log:

EDIT: I think, judging by the invalid error, there has been a ClassNotFoundException before it’s even got to the start() method of the mobione main class. (I’m not good at Java, but that’s the first thing that pops out to me).. Is the installer coming with all the files?

Hi Syndite,

We believe the problem is caused by a conflict between the MobiOne JVM and 1 or more accessibility settings on your machine. We are researching this now. We would like to ask for your assistance in identifying the accessibility settings you have enabled on your machine. Can you provide a list of what features are enabled?

The first thing that pops up into mind when you say that is the Ease of Access Center. I don’t think you’re on about that, or are you?

Will share more details. I think we are now able to replicate the problem. Investigating further asap.

That’s great news I guess 😛 Good luck in fixing it!

Hi Syndite,

Please try to disable this option in the Ease of Access Center:
See attachment IMG_20062013_122752.png

1. Go to the Start button.
2. Select Control Panel.
3. Select “Ease of Access”.
4. Select “Ease of Access Center”.
5. Choose the option “Use the computer without a display”.
6. At the very bottom of this window you will see a section labeled “Other programs installed”. Java Access Bridge, from Oracle, Inc… will be listed.
7. Check the box labeled “Enable Java Access Bridge”.
8. Hit Apply.
9. Hit OK.
10. Restart your computer to apply the settings.

In your case in step #7 you should disable this option. Let us know how it goes for you.

Okay, did that and it still doesn’t work. I then tried re-installing the program again after completely uninstalling it and deleting the .mobione. Still no luck.

Hi Syndite,

The issue is not going to be quickly solved and will require a product update. We are still investigating to determine the quickest solution possible. In the meantime since you are unable to use MobiOne on your system at this time, we would like to offer you a return of your purchase. You will still retain your license key and once we have a fix will be able to resume use of MobiOne on your system. Send us your license key and email address you used to make the purchase to support at genuitec dot com. Use title mobione license data from Syndite

Hey, I’m running the trial version. I was looking to see how the program runs and so on before I purchase it. But.. At the moment I’m unable to see how it runs and my trial time is running down 😛

We have a resolution for this issue. It requires us to ship a product update which we will provide a little later today. We will post a link to a new installer once we have completed testing.

Regarding your trial period we will also extend your evaluation period. Please send me an email as follows:
address: support at genuitec dot com
subject: mobione accessibility issue
body: Evaluation period was blocked by a Java accessibility bridge issue.

We will follow up with you by email.

We just built a new version of mobione 2.5 (dev 15) that includes a workaround for the Java Accessibility Bridge issue. Download the installer: http://goo.gl/i1YK4
Before running it please fully uninstall your current version of MobiOne.
This version should operate correctly regardless of if the Java Access Bridge is enabled or disabled in the Windows Control Panel.
Please share the results asap.
