    Hi,

I’ve recently downloaded the latest myeclipseide plugin for Eclipse 2.1.3, and have a problem with starting JBoss.

I get the following error message:
    Failed to boot JBoss:
org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: url file:/C:/jboss-3.2.3/server/JBoss/conf/jboss-service.xml could not be opened, does it exist?

I have previously used the JBoss plugin, and used the default server.

Can I do the same here? Do I have to move files / paths for the JBoss server? Or can I change the paths to look for default/conf/jboss-service.xml

    Thanks

Can you compare your JBoss configuration with the corresponding one shown here
    http://www.myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-19.html
and see if you note any differences?

    Hi Scott,

I fixed the error. I copied the default server directory under the Jboss server directory. One thing though; I’ve worked with the JBoss plugin at the JBoss site, and there, I didn’t have any such error. MyEclipse was definitely looking for a server under the JBoss folder

Yes, since the parameter for the server is ‘Server name’, not domain directory, the connector is looking for a domain of that name beneath the JBoss home directory. Sorry for the confusion, but I’m glad you’re up and running.
