I was automatically prompted to update to 6.0.2 today. I selected it an clicked finish. It then said that it could not upgrade because it would invalidate the installation see details
The details were
eclipse BIRT report designer feature (2.2.0.zmyeclipse602200712) requires plugin org.eclipse.pde.ui (3.0.2) OR COMPATIBLE
Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.
Were there any additional errors logged under <workspace>/.metadata/.log file ?
I seems like your missing the PDE, which means you didn’t use the “Classic” install, but rather probably used the “Europa for Java” install or some other pre-packaged install.
Go to Help > Software Updates > Find and Install > Search for new features to install and go to the Europa Discovery site and add the PDE.
