I suddenly have a problem with deploying files to tomcat. When create new files or folders they are added in the workbench but dont get deployed to tomcat. Also a an empty path that ist not in the workbench gets added even though it isnt shown anymore in the Project explorer. This all happened after I accidently added a heap of files to the source folder. After that i tried to delete them and I got an error message. It was not possible. I restartet Eclipse and after that all the accidently files were gone but whatever i change now does not have an effect on the deployed files.
I am using windows XP, eclipse 3.1.0, myeclipse 3.9.210regards Peter

Shut down Tomcat, then remove your deployment. Then right click on your project root and Refresh your project, then go to Project > Clean and rebuild your project.Now everything should be kosher, try and remove the files you want to now, and re-add your deployment when ready and try again.
I tried as you said but it did not help. Now I checked out the latest version from the repository and started working from that version and now it works again. But if you have any ideas what could have been the problem I’ll keep the malfunctioning version for some time to test your suggestions.
