    I’ve installed the Findbugs plug-in.

When I right click on a project and run Findbugs, I can see it counting up the possible problems, but there are never any ladybugs that I find in the code?

P.S. I think I installed the plugin external from MyEclipse. It’s not the one that is displayed in the automatic update dialog when MyEclipse loads… but it is the U of M version.

I found some of the little bugs but is there a way to find them that’s not hit or miss?

    Doug,

I am not sure what is the current issue you are facing. MyEclipse currently doesn’t provide an integrated support for findbugs. Having said that you can add the plugin externally. Can you answer few queries –
    1. copy and paste your installation detail. You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail.
    2. Can you share the download link for the plugin?
    3. How did you integrate the plugin to ME? Using [myeclipse install dir]/dropins or using Help > Software Updates > Add/Remove Software
    4. Can you share screenshot of your issue as well as mention in detail what is the steps to reproduce the same
    5. Can you also share a sample project that I can use to test your plugin?
I would recommend you to cross-post to FindBugs forums.

I figured this one out. After running FindBugs, the files with bugs are shown in the “Problems” view.
