billyhumMemberWhen trying to add the Force.com IDE I get an error related to validating the selected profile. The reason is mainly
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements [Match[[org.tisris.jira.feature.group 0.8.0] requiredCapability:org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/org.tigirs.jira/[0.8.0,0.8.0]],…
It lists several Match statements. What am I missing or not understanding.
Thanks.

Loyal WaterMemberbillyhum,
Force.com IDE is not officially certified to run with MyEclipse but the error suggests you could be using a version that is not compatible with the base Eclipse version of MyEclipse. Incase you are working with MyEclipse 7.5, please make sure that the Force.com IDE you are working with is compatible with Eclipse 3.4.2.September 28, 2009 at 11:26 pm #302748
billyhumMemberThanks for the reply but I am assuming I am using something that is compatible with MyEclipse 7.5 since it is found in the list of IDEs under the Software Updates section. I did not choose where it is located but allowed MyEclipse to make its own selection from what it believes is a valid location. If there is a problem, then it is MyEclipse that is coosing the wrong files. Or it needs to be removed from the list of valid Software Updates under the IDE category. Can you verify that MyEclipse is pulling from the correct source? Thanks.

support-joyMemberbillyhum,
1) Can you mention the steps you have tried to install Force.com IDE.
2) Can you list the plug-ins you have installed? You can get it from “Help–>Software Updates–>Add/Remove Software–>Personal Software”.September 30, 2009 at 8:13 pm #302810
billyhumMemberWhat I basically did was choose Help -> Software Updates -> Add -> Category -> IDE -> Force.com IDE. Then I clicked ‘Next’ followed by Install. Then it would look like it was searching for the software then end up giving me the error. Then stop. I can see it in the list to still install but it won’t let me.
