ME PRO 2014 on SUSE Linux 12.

Maximize the Search Panel. Search a text such as DateFormatter, it returned a bunch of files. Select the target file and double click on it, the file was opened up but hid behind the Search panel.

Expected: the file should be opened up and brought up to the front of the screen (on top of the Search panel).

    How to acheive it?

    Thanks

    Eugene

MORE INFO: Currently, in order to view the opened file, I need to first double click on the Search panel to shrink the size of it in order to see the opened file such as xxxx.java. Then I’ll need to double click on the java file to maximize it. So too many steps.

Try to click on the vertical panel separator bar and then drag to left or right to expance or shrink the panel width. The problem is that when click on the bar it flickering quite a bit. I need to trial and misses many times before the pouse pointer became stablized to an horrizontal arrow (<==>), then I could drag and move it.

Expect to click and the arrow shows up and stablized.

    Thanks

    Eugene,

Sorry that you are seeing these issues. We could not replicate them on Ubuntu and Windows.

Can you please send us a screenshot of the Search panel issue to help us get a visual? If possible, please prepare a document with the screenshots of every step you are following and attach it.

I suggest you also check how the Search and the Separator bar works in Eclipse Kepler (4.3.1) as these are Eclipse features.MyEclipse 2014 is based on Eclipse 4.3.1.

To be able to drag the separator bar, the arrow appears when you mouse over the bar and not when you click on it.

Please also check the version of GTK corresponding to your OS. If you are on GTK 2, try upgrading to GTK 3 and see if it helps.

Let us know how it works.

Did you first MAXIMIZE the Search penal, before the FILE search?

    Eugene,

Yes, we maximized the Search panel before doing a File search.
Please include the screenshots of the issue to help us investigate further.
