    When first launched GapDebug attempts to locate the Chrome executable automatically. If it is unable to find Chrome on your OSX system and Chrome is installed in your /Applications folder try the path:

        /Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome

    Mine is mac version 10.10.2. and Chrome version 45. I installed the latest version of GapDebug, and saw the icon on the menu bar. But when I click the icon to open debug tools, nothing happened. In the “Settings”->”Chrome and Server”,I input the correct chrome location, but got the GapDebug is unable to locate the Chrome browser executable error! I restarted and reinstalled and still got the error!

    A few thoughts:

    1) Is your file system configured to be case-sensitive?

    2) Please post the path to the chrome executable currently configured.

    3) I doubt this is the case but is GapDebug being run with the level of permission to launch the chrome process?

    I have the same problem after installation. OSX 10.10.5, chrome 45. Filesystem not case-sensitive.
    Path to chrome is /Applications/Google Chrome.app

    After installation it launched chrome once, then it gave the message that it could not find chrome anymore.

    I have no idea how to change the level of permission on an app-by-app basis. Running a normal install of OSX, so this should not be an issue. Other apps can launch other apps, no problems.

    I also can’t find anything particular in the console.log
    I have attached a crash.log, but unsure if it is related.

    @michelb

    I just checked my GapDebug mac chrome setting. Please try this:

    /Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome

    Consider restarting your machine before giving this a go. Once GapDebug starts up, even if it does not open the Chrome correctly you should be able to view GapDebug Settings dialog from the bug icon in the apps bar at the top of your mac screen.
