We want to install MyEclipse 8.6 on a machine that we also need to keep 7.5 running on temporarily. When we use the Pulse installer it dies on the download before we even get a chance to specify the install directory. The error is a popup that says: “An error has occurred. See the log file
    c:\Program Files\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\workspace\.metadata\.log.

How do we install 8.6 when we have 7.5 already installed and need to keep it also. We did find that we could install 8.6 that had a version of 6.0 successfully and both versions co-existed fine.

The error in the pulse log says:

    smitty_in_vancouver,

Can you give some more information?

    1. What is your OS and version?
    2. How are you trying to install MyEclipse? using all-in-one installer/pulse ?
    3. Can you do a Reinstall then Run on the MyEclipse8.6 listed under My Profiles in Pulse?

You can install using pulse, instructions mentioned here –
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-how-to-install-myeclipse-from-pulse/&highlight=

Please note that the FAQs are not based on ME 8.6, please use 8.6 wherever applicable.

Do let us know how it works for you.

    1. OS = Wiindows XP service pack 3
    2. Using MyEclipse Custom Installer.

We tried the same install again today and it worked. We used the same custom installer and still have version 7.5 installed too. Both coexist without any issue. We’
re not sure what we did to make this work, but it worked this time.

    Thanks,
    Smitty
