i cant connect to sql server 2000 from myeclipse using sql JDBC driver. The error is :the tcp/ip connection to the host has failed
Are you able to connect to the database using another program? Is the URL you specify in the connect string correct? Perhaps the ports used are blocked?
This does not look like a configuration / driver issue, but it looks like a networking problem between your machine and the database server.Please answer all relevant questions asked here: Posting Guidelines
