    Hello,
I am developing an application, that runs some javascripts code, and saving user input in local storage, using HTML5 storage.

my question, is how to ensure that my application will be accepted by apple? so i can go ahead and by apple developer license.

    please help 🙂

    thank you in advance

My advice would be, make sure your app is well designed and is fit for purpose. Also have a good look at your app and see if there are 100’s of similar apps already in the store. ask yourself why would anyone want my app? what need is the app going to fill?

There should be no reason why a HTML 5 app should be rejected by Apple, just because its HTML5. There are some horror stories out there about apps getting rejected, but a lot of the time its because they’re nothing more than page turning offline website apps which don’t meet Apples requirements.

I’m no Apple fan boy by any mean’s, i dislike the Apple business model, but do your research and you will be fine. I’ve just had 2 paid apps accepted first time and selling well made with mobione.

    good luck

I agree with Paul. HTML5, localstorage have nothing to do with it.

Does you app look good and actually do something? You need to read and understand the Apple human interface guidelines so that you don’t have strange items in inconvenient locations.

I’ve got 5 apps on iTunes and all use HTML5 and localstorage to some degree.

These questions are for PaulD and 1thinchip I was wondering if you guys can give me the names of your apps so I can see what you were able to create using mobieone. Also did you guys use code to create the app? I had an app published on android and Iam having problems with the new ics update the app isnt working on some of the phones.Ive contacted for support and Iam really disappointed with the lack of response time they need more people for support. Apple also rejected the same app stating it didnt meet the proper ios inteface guide lines. So I have to see how I can better the app to fix it. I was starting to wonder if anybody had any apps published with mobieone. Thank you for your time and your knowledge, Amsent

Getting your app accepted really isn’t that hard. I use nothing more advanced than Mobione, Photoshop 6 and notepad. Here are the urls of mine:

I’m just about to release a new app that uses the Map Widget and Google Places.

Here’s one of mine. Nothing really fancy to be honest, again a pretty in simple workflow using Mobione and notepad ++ for the app development and Photoshop and Blender 2.6 for the graphical content.

I hope to one day be a good enough coder so I can start using the 3d web GL stuff coming to HTML5.

Hey thanks you guys for responding to my questions I went on your mouse app and it was pretty good super simple and works good I gave you a rating of five stars!! 1thinchip. Just to let you know, PaulD saw your app nice graphics, Little to expensive couldn’t buy it, but it looks good. yeah ive been starting to wonder if anybody had been able to publish anything apple is a pain and they take like 2 weeks, I also have a published app on google play if you have android check it out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobione.shootintro Its a Firearms Training app basic firearms shooting fundamentals I put it on free for a couple weeks for trial, the same app got rejected by apple, so I am gonna tweak it, add some video and a little better function to it. I am a firm believer that we need to help each other out and they should have a showcase for all the developers on here so we can rate each others apps for support, and see what people have designed with mobieone. Anyways thanks for the response, Regards, Amsent

Hey, thanks for checking out the apps and the positive review!

Looking at your app, Apple probably rejected it because the buttons are at the bottom and not at the top. Also, it doesn’t quite conform to Apple’s button preferences.

As for a showcase, there were some whispers that Genuitec’s marketing department was readying something like that. Don’t know where that is in terms of schedule.

No problem, my app is not much use unless your a Agusta 109 pilot! As for your App getting rejected its a tough one. Did they give you a reason? I’m not sure on the process but could you ask what needs to be done to get it accepted.

Personally I possibly think its your subject matter. Apple don’t like certain subjects.
