Hi,

Is there a way (other than creating a api from twitter) that I can include a simple feed within the app itself?

A widget for this and other related SN’s would be ace

I took a look at this recently; plan to continue investigating it after we ship MobiOne 2.5 next week.

What I know atm:

1) use twitter REST web services api

2) use twitter widget (e.g., timeline) from a Cordova InAppBrowser

There is an example that we posted to forum last week about how to load a local html file that is packaged in the app in the InAppBrowser at runtime. (will look for it later today and post url)

3) can not use twitter widget embedded directly in a screen using html widget. Still investigating this but many other developers (not using mobione) have struggled with limited or mostly no success.

I have concerns using a third party service so not sure about reliabilty, and for $49.00US a year.

Liked the option though; I’ll keep in my ‘just in case box’ 😉

I have used them for about a year and a half and have never had a problem. You can use their free version if you dont mind the limitations or just to try them out. Just a note, I like the iPhone box for the mobile apps as it it more self contained with fewer ( if any ) out links.
