Is it possible to install myeclipse and updates using
eclipse’s Help | Software-updates menu item ?

If so, what URL provides the myeclipse plugin and any updates ?

I’m running Eclipse Version: 3.0.2, Build id: 200503110845, On Fedora RC2

Bill,
Not currently, you will need to download MyEclipse from our site, from that point on you can use the updater, but the initial install requires a download.

Thanks for the info – I thought I remembered getting updates via eclipse.
Is this a temporary serviice interruptron, or am I experiencing false memory?

Bill,

You can get *updates* from Eclipse, but the *initial* installation needs to be done with one of our installers. So, once you’re set up, you can search for updates and get them through the normal Eclipse update mechanism.
