    hi,

i’m new to both myeclipse and tapestry and would like to start with a simple hellworld page but i got problems with creating a ‘Tapestry Project”. i searched for this but cant find it so i tried a simple Web Project, but of course MyEclpise protests when i try to insert a tapesry component or page. i tried the “learning center” but couldnt find how to create a project.

    thanks for any answer

You will want to start with a Web Project, and from there right click on the project and go down to MyEclipse > Add Tapestry Capabilities.

Right now MyEclipse only supports Tapestry 3 with no plans to support 4 unfortunately.

    BIGDUD3,
Check out our Web Projects tutorial here:
    http://www.myeclipseide.com/images/tutorials/quickstarts/webprojects/

but start with Section 7 and just skim the screenshots to get an idea of how to deploy and run your app. NOTE: You will need to setup an app server using the MyEclipse connectors before deploying and running your app.
