how do i export a war or an ear from eclipse? i don’t want to use the project deployment wizard because it limits where i can put my war and what i can call it.
Yes you are correct, currently the deployment tool will limit *where* the file goes (this will be relaxed in 2.8+), but if you specify the *type* of deployment to be “packaged deployment” then MyEclipse will create a WAR/EAR for you that you can then copy out of that directory and move it whereever you need it.
