    Hi.

I’ve got a bunch of server connections defined in the DB Browser view of the Database Explorer perspective. Is there a way to export these so I can give them to other folks so they don’t need to type them in? I know where the file that contains them is located in the workspace, but I want to know if there’s an easy import/export mechanism. I’ve tried the File – Export – General – Preferences, but my connection info doesn’t get exported.

    Thanks in advance,
    -B

You can right click on the connections in the database explorer and hit export. Now follow the wizard to export your connection. Isn’t this what your looking for ?

    Hi.
Yes, that’s what I’m talking about, but when I right click on any one of the connections, I do not see “export” as an option. I only see “open connection”, “New”, “edit”, “copy”, and “delete”.
I’m using ME build id: 6.0.0-GA-200708.

    Thanks.

Can you switch to a new workspace (File > Switch Worksapce > Temp) and right click on the MyEclipse Derby and see if export shows up ?

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

I tried a brand new workspace and right clicked the Derby connection, and I still do not see an export menu item.

Im not sure why your not seeing it, but just to rule out any possible installation conflicts can you reinstall MyEclipse using either the All in One or Pulse installer and test this out again.
