    I’m trying to basically create an app which resembles my e-book. I can’t figure out how to insert text into the “text area” via the cut and paste method. There is way too much text for me to attempt to type it in manually. Can this be done from a word doc, or some other way?

    Hi Brianc,

    Please try to use keyboard short-cuts to copy and paste text into either a Text or Text Area widget.
    copy = ctrl+c
    paste = ctrl+v

    Be aware that TextArea widget is mostly for input of multi-line text and has not be tested as a container for large amounts of text. I did a quick copy&paste scenario with both widgets using a long bit of text. I noticed the Text widget was sort of slow to reposition and align thereafter with the long text. Let us know if this works for you.

    That worked great, which leads me to my next question. I can only see the test down to the bottom of the “text area” widget. How can I continue to scroll down through the text now?

    Is there a guide to do this?
    I’m not sure if I’m going in the right direction, but would it be something like this?
    1. Add Transparent panel
    2. Add Text panel
    3. Insert text

    You are on the right track …

    You then need to expand the scrolling area of your panel to the desired size and then (not before) expand the text area …

    There may be a way of doing this other than trial and error, but I have failed to find it.
