I am trying to use the url for the add to download the updates and the url doesn’t work. It keeps giving me I don’t have permission to the site. What do I need to do?

    CasadosRalphL,

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do. What is the URL you are referring to? Can you share the weblink with us? Also can you please clarify if you are trying to add MyEclipse as a plugin or trying to add a 3rd party plugin to MyEclipse. Also if you are trying to add 3rd party plugin to ME, can you give more details?

    Thank you.

The link on your download page to use when one wants to install upgrades through the software. This link:

To Install Using Eclipse Update Site: be sure Eclipse 3.5.1 “Classic” is installed. Start Eclipse > Select Help > Software Updates > Available Software Tab > Add Site > Enter this URL http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-stable/
From there you just “Next” your way through the wizard and MyEclipse will be installed for you

This is the error I get when attempting to access the update site: Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-stable/ on this server.

    CasadosRalphL,

Have you ensured that you have downloaded Eclipse 3.5.1 classic? You cannot directly access the update site. You need to add the same to Eclipse as a plugin. To do this, please open Eclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > Software Updates > Available software tab > Add Site and enter the above mentioned URL.
Are you following this approach or are you trying to access the above site directly? Please clarify.
