Hi, is there a quick and easy way to migrate all of my projects from MyEclipse version 5 to a new installation of version 6?

I know I can “import” a single project at a time but I have many configured and it will be a laborious task to do them all.

This can be done if all your projects reside in the same directory. On the import project wizard, select the root directory as your old workspace directory. All the projects in the workspace would be listed under the Projects List and you can select all the projects that you want to import at one go.

Thanks for replying but sadly all the projects do not reside in the same directory, they are all spread out across a huge ClearCase backend directory system.

I wonder could I manually copy and paste the config data from the original eclipse installation to the new one? Where is all the details of configured projects held? I’ve manually edited .project files before or .classpath files but obviously these belong to a single project. I don’t know where eclipse stores the details of the projects it has…?

There is separate configuration information stored for each project. You will have to import each project separately.
