Your system appear to be limited to sending apps from your cloud to an individual phone by phonenumber@emailaddress. However, for business we want to send the apps we design on mobione from our website. When the customer click download apps from our mobile website, we want to send this apps to any customer’s mobile globally. Most mobile website companies globally would definitely want this service. How can this be done.

    Hi Wayne:
Thanks for such a prompt and informative reply. This answers half the question. The other half is how do I send it to their phones. With the mobione their is the “send URL to phone” feature but this is your system for a personal phone. How would I now send this apps to their phone, this is the challenge I am faced with. I have their international phone numbers.

Host the webapp or app on your own site. Then send an email that includes a download link to the webapp/app. Let your users choose if and when they wish to download your app. THere are many examples of sending nicely formatted html newletters and ANNs that included download links.

We will we send the webapps/app download link to customer mobiles globally as an SMS message. Here is the thing. When the customer selects this link, does the mobione apps now automatically downloads its components to their phone like how it is done in your testing center or this is just a regular link text message that you given me. I want when they select the download link that we SMS them, the apps download to their phone. Will this happen?

If you sms a link to your webapp then users can click the link and the webapp will load and begin running. But a shortcut icon to the webapp will only appear on the user’s homescreen if the user explicitly chooses to save it to the homescreen. This is exactly how it works in the TestCenter as well.

An alternative is to create a native application, submit it to the appstore. Then sms the app’s URL in the iTunes appstore to your customers. A user could click the URL and install the app from the appstore.

MobiOne webapps can be packaged as native iOS apps.
